Dr.-Ing. Marco Eigenfeld

Deputy head and lab lead NanoLab Graz

Research focus: Interdisciplinary research at the edge of nanotechnology und bioscience.

Short Biography

I hold degrees in Bioengineering and Bioprocess Engineering, with a focus on upstream processing, organism fermentation and purification. As a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich, I led cloning workflows for recombinant protein synthesis and managed the corresponding fermentation and downstream purification processes. During my studies, I honed my ability to design sustainable, cost-efficient process concepts—expertise I now apply in my postdoctoral research at the Medical University of Graz for targeted drug delivery and diagnostics.
